The electronic unit sends a pulse to a waveguide contained in the measuring rod; the magnetic float intercepts the pulse generating an echo that is detected by the same electronic unit. The elapsing time between the emission of the pulse and its recognition is directly proportional to the position of the float, and then to the value of the level to be measured.

The principle operation of the LCD-S level switch is based on the moderate shutdown of a series of resistors and reed contacts. These are placed inside the guiding rod by a magnetic float. The only moving parts will be the float which moves along the measuring rod. You can program the sensor manually or via the “MYVALCO” app using NFC technology, available on Android® app store.

The type 2260 is a rugged, high performance ultrasonic level measurement transmitter, having transducer and processing electronics and a display/ programming unit incorporated in one single housing. This float switch has an activation angle of 20° for overflow alarm. Constructed with materials very resistant to mechanical stress, it’s ideal for applications in turbulent waters as it can help prevent the cable from tangling up so the float can work properly. This can be fitted to wells and tanks with screws (not supplied) or to pipping on pumps of any diameter using the cable ties which are supplied. Assembled with right (recommended) or left orientation, the float switch can be installed in 3 different positions horizontal, vertical, and vertical 180° to allow the regulation of small changes in minimum and maximum level. This can be used in narrow spaces, sewage, and industrial waters.
